Our first Transferable Skills Training event and our Annual AAB meeting took place as a mixed online/onsite event at Lancaster University, Lancaster (UK).
Quantimony’s fellows received trainings in horizontal skills from Dr Katy Mahoney, an expert Researcher coach from Vitae Ltd. These skills training modules dealt with: project management for researchers, research ethics and engagement & impact in research communication.
For our AAB meeting on April 21st-22nd, apart from presentations on the progress of our fellows’ PhDs, we counted with the presence of prestigious guest speakers:
- Prof Mike Wale, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, UCL
- Prof Tao Wang, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, U. Sheffield
- Dr Andy Marshall, Department of Physics, Lancaster University
We also had the pleasure of having a guided visit to the Physics labs.
