The Schoool of Physics and Astronomy was ranked 6th in the UK in the Research Assessment Exercise (2014) with 99% of its research being deemed world leading or internationally excellent. The School was also awarded  Juno Practitioner status by the Institute of Physics’ Juno Assessment Panel in recognition of its equality and diversity practices.
