The Eindhoven University of Technology is a university of technology located in Eindhoven. About 11000 students are presently enlisted in Bachelor and Master programs. The university employs about 1500 PhD students and over 200 academic staff members. The TU/e does not only host research in its departments. The TU/e participates in a large number of research institutes that balance in different ways between pure science and applied science research. The TU/e is among the world’s ten best-performing research universities in terms of research cooperation with industry. The group Photonics and Semiconductor Nanophysics (PSN) is one of the 12 research groups of the department of Applied Physics and encompasses about 40 members. The research of the group is focused on the growth, study and application of III/V semiconductor materials and devices.
